I can't believe summer is almost here.

I have been trying to paint a few new items lately. I just finished the little owl picture and also a nice sized canvas with an autumn theme.

I thought this week starting on Monday May 18 thru until Sun May 25 I would offer a special on my mail out pattern packets (excludes down loadable e- patterns sorry). Buy 4 pattern packets and receive 1 pattern free your choice. Just make a note at the end of the transaction to let me know which pattern you have chosen.

Wow into May already!
So new news that I have heard yellow the hot color this year. So if you're designing you might keep that in mind. One of my friend says it's because whenever there is a slow economy yellow is a bright and cheerful color. Well I agree there!
We now have a robin nesting in our barn above the door so hopefully the babies will hatch soon. It seems everything is so late this year. Last year we had three nests with the same robin and got to see the babies so cute! So I wonder if it is the same robin this year? She doesn't seem to mind us sliding the door open regularly in the day.

Oh and sorry about the free pansy download. I can't seem to load up the program so I am waiting to get it fixed. The file I had it in was not that common, so I tried to change it into zip and now I can't load any form up. Sorry for the inconvenience and will try and get it fixed asap!

Wow this month is whizzing by!!! I was thinking on painting and how I procrastinate starting new projects. I was wondering why? I guess it's physiological really. I always find the first painting strokes are the hardest when I start. I guess it kind of goes through the what I call (yuckie stage). And then as I add more layers of paint I find it hard to stop. Funny eh? I have had people ask "how do you come up with ideas?" I think we are all influenced by what's around us. Maybe that season's birds, flowers or whatever.
I have just started on a little owl. On the weekend we were visiting friend and they were talking about the owl they hear at night. So hence the idea and they seem to be so popular right now. Everywhere there are cherry blossoms billowing forth where I live. So that's where he will be amongst the cherry blossoms. Sometimes you just have to go with an idea. Sit down with paper and pencil in hand and scratch some ideas out. It will come to you and then have fun paintin and creatin!
