Wow summer is busy. We just got our hay in time before the rain. Wow I am sore, but it was well worth the effort!
Roses are almost finished, but new blooms on their way and have been getting a few good pictures of them, hopefully to inspire a painting or maybe a web banner design collage (time will tell). Hope you are all getting inspired by your gardens this summer too!

Well tomorrow I head off with some friend to the Art Gallery which is featuring olde world Dutch painters. I am so excited, not sure if I will be able to sleep!
I have been wanting to go for a while to this exhibit and finally found a few to come with me!

Me and hubby taking a break last wk and this wk but still doing some web up loads and tweeting. If you tweet to check me out and I will follow you at eclecticmixup.

Well off to get forty winks before the big day tomorrow!
Catch you all later! Carol

I can't believe we're nearing the end of June already. Wow we have had some fabulous weather!
Not much rain I know unusual for us.

But the mosquitoes are abundant right now where I live. The poor horses. I tried a natural spray, but doesn't last long and didn't make that much of a difference. I happen to be talking to a lady that has been training horses a very long time and she gave me a recipe I am going to try and would work for humans as well and is a little more natural. She said equal parts apple cider vinegar to absorbine liniment. Anythings worth a try, I happen to look quite speckled right now from the bites.

I hate using off, so poisionous , yes it might kill the mosquitoes, but else is it doing?

So I have been busy creating some sparkly pieces of jewelry, and not as much painting, but will get back to it soon.

Saying that I have done some graphic art creating some vintage styled banners for webs and blogs.

I think whatever I am creating it overflows into the other.

Well it's flower time. I have roses in full bloom.
I am so inspired to want to paint and create when I see all the flowers array in their glory.

To help inspire me I have been taking a lot of pictures of iris's, roses, and double clematis.

I tend to like White's because where i live it rains a lot and white shows nicely on a drab dull day.

I have taken some really nice pics of mixed bouquets in vases. These I will save for later to use bits and pieces for paintings.

Just a little tidbit to inspire!

The flower symbolism associated with roses is love, remembrance, passion (red); purity (white); happiness (pink); infidelity (yellow); unconscious beauty, I love you.
Roses were first cultivated 5,000 years ago in Asian gardens.
Roses were introduced to Europe during the Roman Empire and were thereafter used for ornamental purposes.

I hope you enjoyed my little write up on roses.
Happy Paintin! Carol
