Well I just got my blogger site up and running, a little frustrating to say the least, but you can connect with me on twitter through their.
I did an interesting search on symbolism of peridot green and here is what I found: The color Green is the color of balance. It also means learning, growth, renewal, and harmony. Green is the color of nature. It brings peace and harmony into our lives. It is the color of healing, hope, optimism, freedom, and balance.
Interesting it is so related to natrue and nature calms us. I think if we had more time to focus on being out enjoying nature we would mellow out, so it makes sense.
Well I have also been busy creating some new jewelry pieces, getting ready for fall.

I have also drawn up a pattern of a still life of a picture I took of some of the flowers from the garden. The roses were beautiful, just full of blooms this year. We have had record highs, a little too hot when it gets over 100 degrees, but it has cooled down a little now.
Well hope everyone is enjoying a fine summer and creating lots of new stuff!

Wow, just got back from holidays, unfortunately they flew by too fast!
We are having record highs and it is hard to stay creative in such heat, as much as I hate complaining about the sun!
We had a terrific thunder storm last week it shook the windows. Poor older dog was just shaking. I have never seen one last so long and sheets of light in the sky. Kept me up half the night.
Well the baby robins flew the coop today, poor little guy kept having some crash landings. We came home to him sitting on the drive way, and was very hot. Hubby tried to scoot him away so the dogs wouldn't see him, but momma was getting tooo upset, so hopefully he got away into the tall corn. They are so susceptible the first day as they can't fly right away. this is her third batch and she keeps nesting in the barn in different spots on the beams. Caught a picture of them yesterday, but it was hard to get a good one because of being right under the roof.
Have a good week and remeber find your niche be creative!

Well I can't tell you how wonderful it was to go to the Art gallery yesterday to see some of the original oil paintings from the Dutch Painters, dating back to middle 1600 - 1700.

I didn't realize how much emotion it would evoke in me. The landscaping, the way the lighting was portrayed, just outstanding. The detail and realism unbelievable.
Sometimes they would paint, scrape off and add new things, and it could take years to finish a painting. I guess that is why they are so beautiful.

They even had original artifacts from that era on display. One of the glasses was a replica of one used in a floral painting. It was amazing to see it survive such a time frame and still be intact and not even cracked!

It really gave a lot of insight to the way they thought and felt in that era. For example they would put all their jewels on a child for their portrait to show wealth and affluence.
While others that might have money, would dress in black very simple wearing no jewelry, because of their religious belief's.
