Thanks for your interest and dropping by. My journey in life, so far has led me to this passion for painting and creating things. Since very young I have always enjoyed colour, detail and, creating.

I have been painting for approx 18 years using mostly acrylics. Twelve of those years I have spent teaching seminars on my techniques locally and travelling.

I am the author of 6 painting instructional books on techniques. Five Volumes are called Little Footprints, featuring animals and bird designs. Another Volume is called Vintage Treasures featuring botanical patterns.

I have travelled to teach seminars in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta, back east to Quebec and Ontario. A few times I have been invited to the United States. I have had the privilege of being invited to Devises, England to teach a seminar, which was thrilling for me, because my Granny came from London, England.

The last few years I have been hooked on Altered Art and most of the designs I do now reflect that style using more textures and mixing it up a little with the influence of scrap booking. I love antiques and architectural items. Old things have so much craft and detail that I admire anything that reflects that era.

Carrying along with this theme, I also create one of kind necklaces. I get bored doing the same thing and enjoy making individual creations, something a little different for people to wear.

And then there is my husband and my love for animals. We live in the country (down Hilly Billy Road our nick name) in a very small town. With my husband, two dogs, one adopted cat and two horses, one which was adopted, probably too many critters, but what can I say we’re a little eccentric!

A little story about the horse. Not knowing a lot about them. We had lost our only son a few years back, and I found from our neighbours, who introduced us to horses, that they were great therapy. We ended up with Sunny, our adopted Standard Bred, who had, to say the least, a few issues! He became the project horse or maybe we were his project. In the end it worked well. We both helped each other through the journey. He has turned out to be a wonderfully sweet lovable fellow, and we both have grown. Then you just can’t have one horse, because you know they are a herd animal, so we ended up with another nice easy going little mare. Yes, a lot of work and you have to be very dedicated to them, but I feel in the end it is worth the reward.

I have been involved with critter care, which is a place that helps save orphaned and injured animals. I donated some of my time and paintings to help support this wonderful place. Some of the animals I have painted have been from there. You can find out more by visiting their site at www.crittercarewildlife.org

So I will continue on in this journey of creating, loving what I do.
